Resources

Special resources enrich students’ experiences while studying philosophy at Richmond.

Classics-Philosophy Study & Library

The Department of Philosophy has teamed up with the Department of Classical Studies to provide a library that features classical texts and comfortable study space for students (North Court Educational Wing 210). The library features wall-to-wall oak shelves, overflowing with texts, translations and scholarly books, and is a comfortable place to read, prepare for class or meet with professors and fellow students.

Philosophy Speakers Series

The Department of Philosophy hosts an annual speakers series that brings up to four visiting scholars to Richmond over the course of the fall and spring semesters to present lectures or seminars.

Discipline-Specific Library Research Guide
Subject librarians at the University of Richmond Libraries maintain discipline-specific research guides for every academic course of study offered through the School of Arts & Sciences. Students in the Department of Philosophy can contact the subject librarian directly, view top recommended resources and conduct discipline-specific searches of databases and Web sites. In addition, subject librarians frequently highlight new titles related to the academic field.
